After working as a solicitor for four years, Dennis Koutoulogenis traded the yellow legal pad for the bleedproof pad of the copywriter, becoming DK shortly thereafter. He worked at VCD, mojo, Batey/Red Cell, BMF and Host before joining The Monkeys. DK’s work has been recognised at awards including D&AD, Cannes, One Show and AWARD (although perhaps his proudest moment was scoring a gold at the International Football Awards). He has also judged a number of local and international shows, tutored and lectured at AWARD School and CopySchool.
The product of a Greek father and Italian mother, DK speaks both languages (and some English). Football, food and fatherhood figure prominently in DK’s life, (often at the same time), with carbonara and tiramisu two of the signature dishes he enjoys whipping up for his wife and two children. After which, you’ll generally find him on both the couch and Twitter - which he has embraced surprisingly readily for someone who watched far too much television as a child.
